She’s turning heads on screens big and small, while building a name in fashion and business — proof that this young woman is more than just a rising star.
Kristen Rizzo is emerging as one of today’s most versatile new talents in entertainment, with a career that spans film, fashion, and digital media.
From indie films to runway shows, Rizzo has become a familiar face on multiple stages, but her story goes beyond the credits.
Kristen Rizzo Grew up in Canada
Rizzo was born on January 9, 1999, in Hamilton, Ontario, and grew up near Niagara Falls. She is of Sicilian ethnicity. Her love for acting began in childhood, inspired by Cameron Diaz’s performance in “The Mask.”
By high school, she was performing on stage, taking on the role of Sharpay in “High School Musical,” an experience that confirmed her love for performance.
After graduation, she set her sights on Toronto, enrolling in Humber College’s Acting for Film and Television program to hone her craft. That training soon led her into the professional world of acting.
Breaking Into the Screen
Rizzo, now 26, began working professionally in 2018, signing with an agency while still in college. Now represented by CK Talent Management LTD, she has built a portfolio that showcases her range.
Independent films have been equally central to her career. She starred as Leah in “Road Trippin’,” a Toronto International Film Festival 2024 entry.
Her earlier work includes short films. She appeared in the 2022 “My Pocketbook of I Love You’s” and in 2024 “UnMatched.” In the growing field of vertical dramas, she took the lead in Reelshort’s Rhythmic Reel, played the antagonist in Dreameshort, and headlined an iMagic Film pilot.
She gained recognition in mini-series such as “Swallow Me Whole,” where she played Sadie Sawyer, and “Unexpected Love with the Hidden Billionaire,” where she portrayed Jenny Brown. From her ability to carry emotionally layered roles, she naturally branched into another type of entertainment.
Kristen Rizzo Is a Familiar Face in Music and Modeling
Rizzo’s adaptability has also made her a familiar face in music videos, including “Back to Me” by Canadian DJ and producer SICKICK, “Ghosts” by hip-hop artist Rajan, and most recently “Love You Right” by indie pop band Walk Off the Earth.
These collaborations helped her connect with wide audiences while experimenting with performance styles that range from atmospheric and dramatic to playful and upbeat.
Her commercial portfolio is just as varied, with campaigns for Google Pixel 6 Raptors MLSE, Ritz Carlton Toronto VIP Luxury Package, Dreamstar Mattress, Knotty Knickers, and Leva Sleep. She has also partnered with digital brands like Youmee Dating App, Vior Hair, and Eqpme Rental App.
Alongside her acting, she has established herself as a model. She has represented brands such as Leona Lingerie, LUMI Shop, Cha Collective, Knotty Knickers, and Kiralle Collection, bringing a mix of elegance and boldness to each project.
Her runway work includes appearances at the Creative Mind Fashion Show in 2023 and 2024, as well as Toronto Swim Week 2024, where she showcased her versatility in live fashion events.
Modeling not only complements her acting but also ties directly into her entrepreneurial vision.
Kristen Rizzo Is an Entrepreneur
Rizzo is the founder of Angelsfromouterspace (AFOS), her own lingerie and underwear brand. “Coming soon…Xo,” she shared. With the tagline “For all the Angels who fell from Space. Heaven is overrated,” AFOS reflects her bold, creative vision and personal style.
The brand is preparing for its website launch, further solidifying her role not just as a performer and model, but also as an entrepreneur building a place in the fashion industry. Her business ventures complement her on-screen work, underscoring a common theme: taking risks to follow what inspires her.
Looking back, Rizzo credits her first spark of inspiration to “The Mask” and her high school performance as Sharpay. Since 2018, she has steadily built a career that spans multiple creative fields, all while staying open to opportunities that fuel her passion.
As she puts it on her website, “Life is short. Do what you love. Soooo I will continue to act because it is what makes me so very happy!”
